The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination. What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly. ― Carl R. Rogers,

“The kind of caring that the client-centred therapist desires to achieve is a gullible caring, in which clients are accepted as they say they are, not with a lurking suspicion in the therapist's mind that they may, in fact, be otherwise. This attitude is not stupidity on the therapist's part; it is the kind of attitude that is most likely to lead to trust...” ― Carl R. Rogers

Leanne Bolesworth

Principal Clinician

I have experience working closely with a range of clients, including: Rape and Sexual Abuse survivors, domestic violence, low self-esteem, social disorders, eating disorders, anxiety, suicide, sex, LGBT and issues around self-harm. I work with Children, young people and adults.

As a supervisor I work within an ethical and confidential environment exploring the therapeutic process that takes place within the therapy room.

I have been teaching for 5 years and have found that my role as a counselling tutor enables me to remain current within my professional career and provides me with an opportunity to support individuals in developing their counselling skills and therapeutic practice.

I have found that all of my roles provide an opportunity to support individual needs, as I can implement elements from each to provide the best possible support.
