Marta Lopez Pizarro
Marta Lopez Pizarro – adult counsellor
As a counsellor who has navigated my own challenges, including chronic illness, I understand the importance of finding a therapist who truly gets it.
I believe that when we suffer, the connection with another human at deep therapeutic level can unlock inner resources for acceptance, growth, and/or healing, and I take immense satisfaction being your companion in that journey. I am a very approachable, caring and down to earth person. I like to invest in your safety and autonomy, making you participate and own the therapeutic journey, with respect and transparency.
I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor, meaning that I love to learn from different philosophies and types of therapies, integrating them behind the scenes so that you can experience a personalised approach, according to your needs, circumstances, goals, personality, preferences…as you are unique. I also work integrating different parts of yourself, exploring memories, core believes, thoughts, emotions, words and body sensations. I help with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relational patterns, self esteem...
My passion is to facilitate opportunities where you can extend your wings analysing any aspect of yourself and/or your life that requires attention. With my unique blend of personal qualities and expertise, I'm here to help you, whether you're struggling with your current circumstances or symptoms, or experiences in the past that are impacting your life.
I have helped victims of abuse with the legacy of trauma, shame, and rebuilding their identity. I have supported clients affected by cancer leading me to develop my style supporting people with health problems, terminal illnesses, carers, or bereaved family members. I have passion towards women and AFAB navigating life stages, and good insight with hormonal or reproductive events, for example with symptoms of PMS, PMDD, or menopause. I also offered general counselling for employee wellbeing services in Coventry City Council and Leicester County Council, presenting a great variety of concerns and issues.
I offer short term or long term sessions: online, in person, and by phone. In two languages English or Spanish.
Happy to answer free consultations by phone or email. I will try to accommodate the day/time that suits you depending on availability. If we go ahead, we will do a complete assessment in our first session to ensure the best therapeutic partnership.
